NIOS offers the On-Demand Examination System (ODES) for selected subjects, allowing eligible learners to appear for exams as per their readiness, subject to seat availability.

ODE Eligibility

  • Must be a bonafide NIOS learner
  • Valid Enrolment Number & Identity Card
  • Eligible after appearing in first Public Examination
  • To appear in ODE, learners must complete:
    • Minimum study period
    • TMA submission
    • Required PCP & practical sessions

Registration

  • Online only (for existing learners)
  • Apply at: nios.ac.in | sdmis.nios.ac.in
  • Same subject cannot be registered twice in a month

Examination Centres

  • NIOS HQ, Noida
  • Designated Kendriya Vidyalaya ODE Centres
  • Centre allotted subject to seat availability

Documents to Carry

  • Original NIOS Identity Card
  • Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar / DL / Voter ID / Passport / PAN)
  • Printout of ODE Registration Application

Fee Payment

ODE examination fee can be paid online only through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking
